Cameras and Camera Settings

Camera View

Camera View shows the scene from the perspective of the selected camera. Use it to compose shots, adjust framing, and animate the camera over time.

To enter Camera View:

Press V on your keyboard.
Or select Camera View button in the Timeline.

Use these shortcuts to switch camera controls:

Press N to enter Navigation Mode.
Press O to enter Precise Mode.

Navigation Mode

Camera View opens in Navigation Mode by default.

Use the W, A, S, and D keys to move the camera through the scene.
Hold the right mouse button and move the mouse to change the camera’s aim.

Precise Mode

Use Precise Mode for finer control over the camera’s position and aim.

On-screen handles appear in Camera View. Drag the handles to make precise adjustments to the camera.

Field of View

The Field of View control is located in the upper-left corner of Camera View. It determines how much of the scene is visible through the camera.

A lower value creates a narrower, more zoomed-in view. A higher value captures more of the scene and creates a wider perspective.

Select the control to choose a preset or field-of-view value.

Aspect Ratio

The Aspect Ratio control is located in the lower-right corner of Camera View. It determines the shape of the final frame.

Select the control to choose an output format, such as Cinema 1.85:1.

Changes to the field of view or aspect ratio are displayed immediately in Camera View.
